Elkhart, Ind. (August 15, 2022) – A packed grandstand watched Phil Bozell work his way through the entire field to take the win at the Dixie Classic 100. The Portage, Michigan native has won several big Outlaw races throughout his career and now adds a Reveal The Hammer Outlaw Late Model Tour win.
The evening began with Bozell edging out Steve Needles for the Allstar Performance Quick Time Award.
The start of the 100-lap feature saw the entire fourteen car field included in the grid inversion. Needless to say, this created a very entertaining race for the fans in the stands as well as for everyone watching on floracing.com.
The early laps saw the pole sitter Conner Zbozien take the early lead. After a couple of early cautions, Adam Terry grabbed the top spot. Then a great race between Adam Terry, Dan Leeck, Phil Bozell, Mark Shook, and Steve Needles broke out for the remaining 85 caution free laps. Just past halfway Bozell moved around Terry to take the top spot. At the same time the next three were all nose to tail and door to door.
At the checkered flag, Phil Bozell took the win, with Mark Shook finishing second, and the 2021 Reveal The Hammer Birch Run Winner Dan Leeck crossed the line in third place.
